Hunting MONSTER CRAYFISH with aboriginal men at tip of Australia
At the very tip of Northern Australia / Cape York is the top end of the Great Barrier Reef. A vast ocean of Crystal Clear waters, islands and the odd boat with a few Aboriginal men out hunting turtle or diving for fresh seafood. I was so lucky this day to be invited out with a few of the local fellas to chase some Monster crayfish, TURTLE and shoot some fish. This was such an epic day on the water, again learning about their culture and their connection to these waterways and the process of learning all this and passing it onto their children. Their life revolves around hunting for food, like it always has for their people. I couldnt end the episode without a big cookup on the beach either. Cant beat fresh crayfish and and Grassy Sweetlip for dinner! If youre after one of the hand crafted short spears their over at wildreaches.com/shop Huge thanks to Alex, Windsor, Jeffo and Colin for taking me out and showing me the ropes. See you all next week

UNCOVERED. What lies at the heart of ABORIGINAL life | Paytham Malkari
We're deep in Cape York in an Aboriginal community of Lockhart River for their first dance festival in 50 years. Paytham Malkari. This is a very interesting insight into what this practise actually means and how its fit into Aboriginal life, culture and an intricate lore system for so many years. Huge thankyou to the people of Lockhart River for having my family and I at the festival and for allowing me to share this special event with the World. It was an experience I will have with me for the rest of my life and so will my children. Ill be back real soon! Footage from the 1973 Lockhart River Dance Festival was produced by Ronin Films. Lockhart River Council gave Wild Reaches a copy to utilise for this Episode.
